Held in the Storm: Peace in the Palm of God
Peace is not always quiet. It’s not always soft or easy. Sometimes peace is loud with thunder and soaked in tears. Sometimes peace is simply the decision to stay—to stay grounded in faith even while the wind is trying to blow you away.
Being in God’s hands doesn’t mean the storm doesn’t exist. It means the storm doesn’t win.
It means you are held—even when the world feels like it’s falling apart. Even when fear creeps in. Even when the enemy tries to circle around your mind, whispering doubt and despair. Peace that surpasses all understanding isn’t the absence of pain—it’s the presence of God in the middle of it.
Peace doesn’t mean you don’t cry.
Peace doesn’t mean you don’t hurt.
Peace doesn’t mean you don’t get scared.
It means even when you do, you know where to go.
You know Who your Father is.
You know you’re never alone.
You know the storm has an end date.
God will never give you more than you can bear—and even when it feels like you’ve hit your limit, He is your strength. He is your refuge. You don’t have to carry it all alone. You don’t have to figure it out alone. He’s not asking you to be perfect; He’s asking you to be present—with Him.
The enemy’s goal is always to separate you from the presence of God. To get you to give up. To turn away. To isolate. To doubt. But when life gets heavy, when spiritual warfare surrounds you, when you're worn out from the fight—run to God, not away from Him.
He is still sovereign.
He is still the Source.
He is still the Creator of all things, including peace in the chaos.
Circumstances will shift, but God won’t. He remains. And every circumstance you walk through is another opportunity for Him to show up and remind you of who He is—Faithful. Constant. Present. Strong. Loving. Holy. Peace.
Let this be your reminder: peace isn’t the absence of struggle. It’s the presence of God in the struggle. The more the enemy surrounds you, the deeper your roots grow in Him.
So breathe.
Cry if you need to.
But stay in His hand.
Because even the storm obeys the One who holds you.
